Abu Dhabi waives corporate fines to stimulate growth

On the occasion of the Year of Zayed 2018, the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Abu Dhabi has declared that it is exempting the establishments whose licences have
expired for more than 24 months and who have applied for renewal, liquidation or cancellation of trade licence from paying all delayed and accumulated fees.
Khalifa Bin Salem Al Mansouri, Acting Under-Secretary of the DED, emphasised the keenness of the Abu Dhabi government to reinforce a competitive business environment in the emirate by issuing decisions, which encourage and motivate the business sector to be a key partner in achieving economic development in the emirate and across the country in general.
Al Mansouri explained that the DED decision regarding the exemption from fees for the expired trade licences reflects the emirate’s collaboration and keenness to create an attractive investment environment.
