Abu Dhabi to boost ties with Singapore in ‘water, energy’

The Abu Dhabi Energy Authority sought to strengthen ties with Singapore, especially in the Water and
Energy Sector.
Working closely with Singapore was discussed at the end of the Authority’s recent participation at Singapore International Energy Week, under the leadership of Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohammed Bin Butti Al Hamed, member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, chairman of Abu Dhabi Energy Authority and chairman of Board of Directors of the Regulation &Supervision Bureau.
The delegation includes members from the Bureau, Abu Dhabi Transmission and Despatch Company (TRANSCO), Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) and Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC).
Regarding the meetings, Al Hamed said, “The visit aims to explore experiences of other countries in developing policies and strategies that will benefit the Emirate in ensuring the sustainability of the Water and Electricity Sector, and improve customers’ satisfaction through targeting best practices to simplify and improve the efficiency of services provided to customers in Abu Dhabi.”
Al Hamed also visited SkyLab, which is considered Asia’s first state-of-the-art platform for research and development in the in the field of building design and energy efficiency technologies.
