The Economic Committee of Abu Dhabi Executive Council’s General Secretariat organised a workshop for reviewing the results and recommendations of the study on the legislation of Emiratisation in the private sector.
The year-long study, held under the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, was conducted by a team whose members came from different organisations. It was carried out based on the Executive Committee resolution to form a committee to study the legislations and policies supporting Emiratisation in the private sector.
During the workshop, Khalifa Al Mansouri, Under-Secretary in the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi and Deputy Chairman of the Economic Committee, as well as the members of the Executive Committee listened to a presentation by the team in charge of the study. The presentation highlighted the work plan, results and recommendations.
‘‘The UAE, particularly the government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, has developed a number of legislations and policies to create more job opportunities for the UAE nationals in both public and private sectors, and achieve the Emiratisation objectives set within the development plans,” Al Mansouri pointed out. The Abu Dhabi government aims to enhance the trust of the job seekers in the private sector by activating the development and the legislative role of the Emiratisation process.
