His Highness Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, has inaugurated the 27th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), at the Abu Dhabi National
Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC).
This year’s exhibition will see 1,320 exhibitors participating from 65 countries, and over 500,000 titles in more than 30 languages will be available. ADIBF will also feature a unique cultural programme that will look at several aspects of the changes and transformations that have influenced the Arab cultural landscape in recent years.
ADIBF is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and will run until May 2.
MBRF to strengthen
cooperation with
cultural institutions
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) is participating in ADIBF. The Foundation is taking part in the fair in an effort to strengthen cooperation with leading cultural institutions, as well as Arab and international publishing houses. Moreover, the event offers a platform for the Foundation to showcase its literary, publishing, and distribution initiatives and projects.
Last year’s edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair drew 1,261 exhibitors from 63 countries. It attracted 272,320 visitors and included 507 cultural events, where 612 intellectuals, authors, and poets took part.
The ADIBF featured 500,000 books in 30 different
languages, registering AED25 million in sales.
