Abu Dhabi Executive Council okays AED74.2mn infrastructure projects

Abu Dhabi Executive Council has approved two infras-
tructure development projects in Abu Dhabi worth AED74.2 million.
The projects announced by the executive committee are part of Abu Dhabi Plan to
ensure water and energy sustainability.
The committee, which met under the chairmanship of Jassem Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, agreed to award a AED49.2 million contract for replacing water supply network of a number of basins in Abu Dhabi in order to enhance operational efficiency and meet current and future needs of the population in line with best international standards.
The second project, estimated at AED25 million, is aimed to establish parks and sustainable utilities that meet the needs of different segments in Al Ain.
The committee reviewed an array of topics and memos sent by state departments in Abu Dhabi to the committee for approval about the implementation of a number of projects and services.
The committee members reiterated the importance attached by the wise leadership of the UAE to the development of government services and meet the emirate’s resident needs and expectations.
