Fujairah signs partnership pact on Smart Logistics City

The Government of Fujairah has signed a partnership agreement with Minpoint Business Investments and NIRAS International Consultancy, to begin the first phase of construction of the Smart Logistics City in Fujairah.
The agreement was signed in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, by Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Head of the Emiri Court in Fujairah, Director-General of the Fujairah Investment Corporation
and representative of the
Fujairah Government, and Karol Marcinkowski, Chairman of NIRAS, in the presence of Martin Pedersen, CEO of the Company.
The first phase of the major project will take place at its primary location, in a 68,000 square metre area of land, and will be completed in three stages over the next five years. The start of the project’s first phase is planned for the end of 2018, as per the partnership agreement.
Al Dhanhani stressed that the project, which will be constructed in Fujairah, reflects the global economic and investment presence of the emirate and its comprehensive future development vision, based on the directives of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and the support of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
Al Dhanhani added that the emirate’s investment-friendly environment and flexible economic legislations have contributed to the launch of various investment projects, including the Smart Logistics City.
Martin Pedersen said that the Smart Logistics City will provide a new and innovative way of conducting business in the UAE, and its location was selected due to its strategic geographic location near Africa and Asia.
