The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), received the coveted ISO 9001:2015 quality
certification.
The certification came after Shurooq was declared successful in a thorough audit by the independent international certification body, SGS. The body conducted their assessment over a series of checks and follow-ups over many months, reviewing Shurooq’s core institutional processes in the aforementioned sectors, and their participation in the overall development of the emirate of Sharjah.
“Obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certification is the culmination of a company-wide initiative led by our Chairman, Sheikha Bodour bint Mohammed Sultan Al Qasimi,” said Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of Shurooq, explaining that Shurooq’s incremental achievements leading up to this prestigious international recognition is a true reflection of their collective commitment to quality management, and strategic and procedural accuracy in both internal and external operations, since its establishment in 2009.
“This certification highlights our efforts to perform a systematic evaluation and follow-up on tourism, investment, and heritage-related infrastructure projects, participating in the comprehensive construction and development processes both in Sharjah and the UAE. The Authority values quality professionalism, and provides sound consultation resulting from top-level R&D, and of course a wealth of
experience,” he added.
Shurooq enjoys a longstanding history of mentoring its workforce towards success, and has maintained the highest levels of health and safety through their company. Team spirit is a highly prized value in the organisation, and a high emphasis is placed on customer satisfaction rates.
“With ISO 9001:2015 certification in place, we are further determined to continue to maintain a disciplined process and methodology to assure the highest level of quality in all of our products and services. We are always looking at new ways to evolve our quality management system and are taking the necessary steps to achieve many more quality certifications in future,” Al Sarkal added.
