As part of the 37th Plantation Week, Dubai Municipality opened on Wednesday Al Mizhar-2 Park in the presence of Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Director-General of Dubai Land Department, Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality and a number of senior officials.
Accompanied by Lootah and other Municipality officials, Bin Mejren toured the park, planted a group of trees, and watched an exhibition, which highlighted a range of designs of the horticultural projects implemented by the municipality in various locations in Dubai as well as the role of Dubai Nursery in providing plants that contribute to the plantation process.
Lootah praised the ongoing efforts for the plantation week, adding that this year’s events have come out very well as expected and succeeded in achieving its objectives. He also thanked the organisations and departments as well as the officials and staff who contributed to the success of the activities of this important annual event. Al Mizhar-2 Park, spread over a total area of about 1.7 hectares, is one of the neighborhood parks that serve the residents of the area. The park, constructed by Dubai Municipality at a cost of AED 6.3 million, has 0.88 hectares of landscaping.
