Steps have been taken to certify those employees working in the cosmetics field to assure they have basic knowledge about health issues related to cosmetics.
The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council – the authority in charge of developing infrastructure according to quality standards in Abu Dhabi – has launched a conformity programme for personnel services, in cooperation with the health department at the Abu Dhabi municipality.
The programme seeks to raise awareness among those employed in the cosmetics sector regarding safety and professional health, which contributes to improving the quality of services being provided in Abu Dhabi and guarantees the safety of the community by assuring their compliance to the requirements and standards identified by regulatory authorities and experts in Abu Dhabi. The standards and requirements of the programme had been identified according to the best international practices and requirements of regulatory authorities, through a team that includes a number of local and governmental organizations and representatives from beauty centers and salons.
