Fitness tracking brand Amazfit is ending a busy year on a high by launching its first ever watch, the Amazfit Pace.
After already releasing the Moonbeam, Equator and Arc fitness trackers earlier this year, Huami — the company behind both Amazfit and the Xiaomi range of trackers — is now hoping to appeal to runners with the Pace. While the brand’s existing trackers record standard measurements such as steps, sleep and calories burned, the launch of the Pace will also enable runners to track their route thanks to GPS and record important metrics such as time, pace, heart rate, speed, cadence, and altitude, which can then be synced with the popular Strava Run app. In addition runners can also store up to 2.4GB of music on the watch which can also be synced wirelessly to Bluetooth earbuds, so you don’t need to rely on your phone for your running playlist.
Other features include a water, dust and splash resistant material, just in case you head out on a rainy day, and because it’s a smartwatch the Pace also enables users to receive notifications from incoming calls, text messages emails and other apps.
Amazfit Pace is available in black and red and can be preordered now
at an introductory price of $129 and will later be available to purchase on Amazon at its full price of $159 from December 15.
