Saif chairs FDSC’s meet with municipalities on progress of Smart Buildability Index

His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior and Chairman of the Federal Demographic Structure Council (FDSC), on Saturday chaired a meeting of the Council with the directors of emirates municipalities.
The meeting was held to follow up progress of work on the Smart Buildability Index, which is aimed at promoting the use of techniques and materials that accelerate construction processes, increase productivity and rationalise the use of unskilled foreign labour, in line with the directives of Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Saif applauded the efforts made by the municipalities officials to implement this national initiative and by the technical team of national engineers from the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and the country’s municipalities, who developed the index.
The meeting was attended by Rashid Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Advisor to H.H. the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Secretary General of the FDSC, directors of the municipalities and officials from ministries and local departments.
