DEWA, Intel Mideast sign coop pact

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with Intel Corporation Middle East, to enhance cooperation, develop new initiatives, and enhance the happiness of stakeholders though the adoption and development of the latest technologies and business models. These include the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, data centres, big data, artificial intelligence, and others.
The MoU will set a framework to develop IT and water and electricity services, in addition to developing prototypes and Software Development Kits, SDKs, for field applications, while benefiting from advanced robotics and mixed virtual reality technology. The MoU also enables both parties to explore Intel’s capabilities with regard to big data, analytics, and data governance, to launch efficient initiatives.
