Dar Al Ber Society (DABS) contributed 226 blood pressure (BP) metres for poor and low-income patients in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The move, part of the ‘Patient’s smile’ scheme, is meant to ease the suffering of destitute patients with chronic blood pressure and reduce the financial burden on their families.
Ali Abdullah Al Shehi, Manager of Dar Al Ber Society in Ras Al Khaimah, said the 226 free gadgets were distributed in coordination with the RAK medical zone.
“Dar Al Ber Society spares no effort to support all vulnerable segments of the society, be they nationals or residents, in collaboration with strategic partners, as per the directions of the UAE’s prudent leadership.”
Meanwhile, Mohammed Rashid Al Shehi, Assistant Manager for Administrative and Technical Affairs Section, and Adel Al Shehi, Head of the HR Section, both with the RAK Medical Zone, met with an official delegation from Dar Al Ber, RAK branch, to thank them for the humanitarian gesture.
