Sharjah Coop has opened a new branch in Al Nahwa, part of Khorfakkan, bringing the total number of its retail outlets to 79. The opening is part of the cooperative’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in Sharjah’s eastern region and make essential food and consumer products more accessible to local residents.
Majid Salem Al Junaid, Chairman of Sharjah Coop’s Board of Directors, expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continued support of initiatives and projects that serve the community and enhance quality of life. He also commended the efforts of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in supporting development and improving services across the eastern region and its surrounding areas.
Al Junaid said the opening reflects Sharjah Coop’s strategy to expand its retail network and further develop its services across the emirate, ensuring they keep pace with residents’ needs and contribute to an improved quality of life.
“We place particular importance on serving residents across the eastern region. We are committed to strengthening Sharjah Coop’s presence in a way that responds to the needs of residents and the unique characteristics of each area, by providing essential goods and enabling families to conveniently access their daily necessities close to home,” he said.
The new branch covers a total area of 301 square metres, including 250 square metres dedicated to retail space. It offers more than 1,000 product lines, featuring a diverse selection of essential food and consumer goods to meet households’ everyday needs. The store includes dedicated sections for food and non-food products, frozen goods, dairy products and other essential items.
The opening forms part of Sharjah Coop’s broader efforts to expand its geographical footprint, diversify shopping options and enhance the services it provides to customers across the Emirate of Sharjah.
