Moonrise, Dubai’s MICHELIN-Starred restaurant by Chef Solemann Haddad, will welcome Chef Mostafa Seif of Cairo’s Khufu’s for the first time. Taking place over two nights on Friday 6 February and Saturday 7 February 2026, the two MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants are coming together in celebration of regional ingredients, the art of storytelling, and friendship.
Located just a stone’s throw away from the Giza Pyramid Complex, Khufu’s has reimagined Egyptian dishes with modern techniques and flavours, with signature dishes including the mu’ammar rice with smoked beef and koshari salad. Named Best Restaurant in Egypt and ranked No. 4 on MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025, Khufu’s has become an icon and a point of reference in the Middle East gastronomy.
Playing host is Dubai’s Moonrise, by chef-partner Chef Solemann Haddad, ranked No. 10 on MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025. Since its renovation in August 2025, Moonrise has been pushing boundaries to define the future of Middle Eastern gastronomy through regional produce, storytelling, and Chef Solemann’s ever-evolving expression of Dubai’s diverse flavours.
“I was very impressed by Khufu’s when I was in Cairo last year. I believe there’s a lot of synergy between our cooking style and passion for regional ingredients. I look forward to cooking with Chef Mostrafa at Moonrise and creating something special in Dubai,” says Chef Solemann.
Chef Mostafa Seif adds, “I am excited to present the Egyptian cuisine alongside Moonrise’s bold flavours. The energy is going to be high, and we will have fun cooking together.
