On the afternoon of November 24 (local time), the “2025 China (Hunan)-UAE Advantageous Industries Cooperation Promotion Conference”, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hunan Sub-Council and co-organized by the UAE Hunan Chamber of Commerce, was successfully held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The conference aimed to deepen practical cooperation between Hunan and the UAE in economic and trade investment, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure construction and other fields. It attracted over a hundred participants, including government leaders, business association representatives and leading entrepreneurs from both sides who gathered to discuss cooperation and explore shared development.
The conference commenced with an engaging Hunan promotional video that vividly demonstrated the province’s unique advantages and development potential as a major economic province, strong manufacturing base, and hub of science and education in central China.

In his subsequent welcome address and provincial presentation, Mr. Luo Zhuan, Vice President of CCPIT Hunan, emphasized the long-standing friendly exchanges and solid cooperative foundation between Hunan and Arab countries, particularly the UAE. He detailed Hunan’s strengths in key industries including engineering machinery, rail transit, new materials and new energy. Mr. Luo stressed that CCPIT Hunan remains committed to serving as a bridge, providing an efficient platform for enterprises from both sides and promoting the implementation of practical cooperation projects. “We look forward to working with friends from all sectors in the UAE to share development opportunities and create a brighter future,” Vice President Luo stated.

During the exchange session, Mr. Ahmed Abdullah, Director of the International Relations Department at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), introduced Dubai’s core development directions and key initiatives in the power and energy sector. He noted that leveraging the UAE’s unique geographical advantages, Dubai possesses inherent strengths in seawater resource utilization and solar power conversion, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development in the energy industry. He invited Hunan enterprises to actively participate in Dubai’s energy infrastructure construction sector for deeper and broader cooperation.
In his address, Mr. Mohd Almusharrakh, CEO of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, elaborated on the emirate’s favorable business and investment environment. He emphasized that Sharjah, as a key cultural and industrial hub in the Middle East, boasts a well-developed industrial system, a strategic geographic location, and highly attractive investment policies. He particularly highlighted the Hamriyah Free Zone and the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park as premium platforms for attracting foreign investment and fostering high-tech industries. Mr. Almusharrakh sincerely invited enterprises from Hunan Province in sectors such as manufacturing, technology, and creative industries to explore investment opportunities in Sharjah. He encouraged them to leverage the emirate’s strategic position as a gateway connecting the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia markets to jointly tap into emerging markets and achieve synergistic development.
Ms. Mariam Al Blooshi, Vice President of KEZAD Group, extended a warm welcome to the Hunan delegation. She provided a comprehensive introduction to KEZAD Free Zone’s strategic location, complete facilities, favorable policies and broad development prospects. Ms. Mariam Al Blooshi expressed strong interest in deepening cooperation with Hunan enterprises in manufacturing, logistics, and technological innovation, expressing confidence that the combination of the UAE’s geographical advantages and Hunan’s industrial strength would yield fruitful results.
During the enterprise sharing session, representatives from leading Hunan companies including Sany Heavy Industry, Hunan Bosen Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Xinzheng Aluminum Industry, and ADTO Building Materials Group took the stage to demonstrate the strength and appeal of “Hunan Intelligent Manufacturing.”
The successful hosting of this conference has not only injected new momentum into Hunan-UAE economic and trade cooperation but also represents another concrete practice of Hunan’s active integration into the Belt and Road Initiative and its promotion of high-level opening up, creating space for mutual benefit and win-win outcomes in broader and deeper dimensions.
