International media praised the second edition of the Global Media Congress, which began in Abu Dhabi, attributing its success to the fruitful inaugural edition of last year.
For its part, Xinhua News Agency highlighted paragraphs from the inaugural speech of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, during which he said that media can foster international cooperation and the sharing of essential values and interests, as well as underscoring human achievements in a way that crosses boundaries of nationality, ethnicity, religion, and culture.
Meanwhile, Philippine News Agency (PNA) noted that Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak reminded guests and participants, especially media professionals, of the importance of committing to ethical behavior and searching for the truth, while promoting values such as honesty, integrity, peace, and non-violence.
Additionally, Malaysia’s The Star Newspaper highlighted that this year’s edition of the Global Media Congress includes specialised sessions in which 170 speakers participate on various topics related to the media industry, with main topics on sustainability, innovation and the latest technologies in the media and sports media sector, youth, education and the future of media.
