HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), in the presence of HH Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Council, on Tuesday chaired the council’s meeting.
During the meeting held in the Sharjah Ruler’s Office, SEC discussed a number of government work issues in the Emirate of Sharjah related to following up the economic and financial situation and reviewing future growth plans.
SEC also discussed legal legislation and proposals to update a number of them, and took appropriate decisions in their regard.
The council reviewed the report on the performance of the general budget and the outputs of activities for the first half of 2023, which included various main indicators in measuring the financial performance of all government departments and entities in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The report included a comparison of the actual expenditures and revenues of governmental and independent entities, in addition to performance indicators of the entities according to the sectors of social development, government administration, infrastructure and capital projects, and economic development.
The SEC approved a proposal to introduce legal articles within the executive regulations of Law No 44 of 2016, regarding the establishment and organisation of the Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority (SDAA), in a way that supports the work carried out by the authority and enhances the ease of procedures in developing archive systems.
