Public members get the chance to win airline tickets with Air Arabia in a ‘Treasure Hunt†challenge organised by Sharjah Museums Authority in celebration of 90 years since the day the first aircraft ‘Hanno†landed in Sharjah back on October 5, 1932.
The challenge, held in Al Mahatta Museum every Saturday on November 19 and 26 and again on December 3 and 10 from 4 pm to 7 pm, will put participants’ speed and knowledge to the test.
Competitions will involve assigning five participating teams to entertain physical and intellectual tasks and providing them with an engaging and memorable experience that broadens their knowledge about Al Mahatta museum, which was turned into a museum in 2000 to bring focus to the history of aviation and its evolution in the country.
Members of the public aged 18 and above are encouraged to build up their teams which should be made up of only three participants who can

They must meet the challenge requirements and follow its terms and conditions, including bringing their Emirates identification cards, at least one mobile phone connected to the internet and must have an active TikTok or Instagram account.
Those less than the age of 11 can still take part in the events with their families but will not be considered members of the team.

Participants at the challenge will additionally be able to explore Al Mahatta’s latest exhibition, ‘Sharjah Air Station: The First Landing 90 years ago’ which runs until October next year.
The exhibition, organised to mark the 90th anniversary of the first flight landing as well as the UAE’s Civil Aviation day, displays the approval agreement to establish the country’s first airport and rare photographs, including images taken by Harold Allsop during his service at the air station between 1932 and 1956, all of which tell the story of the station, the first landing and the achievements of the aviation sector in the country and the world to date.
