Quilter shares surged the most on record after a report that Natwest Group Plc is considering a bid for the wealth manager.
A takeover would be NatWest’s biggest deal since its bailout during financial crisis more than a decade ago. Once one of world’s largest banks, it transformed into a largely domestic retail lender and is still part-owned by the government.
