Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), received an Austrian delegation headed by Dr. Hartwig Loger, Minister of Finance of Austria.
During the meeting, Al Tayer presented Dewa’s key projects, initiatives and programmes. “The authority has adopted the triple-bottom-line approach towards sustainability of the economy, society, and the environment. This supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to provide 75 percent of Dubai’s total power output from clean energy by 2050,” he explained.
The Austrian delegation expressed interest in participating in DEWA’s projects in the field of clean and renewable energy and water.
