The UAE Organising Committee of the 24th World Energy Congress and the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (Fewa) have agreed on a partnership for Fewa to become a co-host sponsor of the Congress, which will be hosted by the UAE Government and will take place in Abu Dhabi in 2019.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the 24th edition of the Congress will take place from September 9-12, 2019 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec).
This will mark the first time the Congress has been held in the Middle East and by an Opec member country in the event’s 94-year history.
The 2019 Abu Dhabi World Energy Congress aims to drive impactful discussion and action through bringing together all nations, all forms of energy and stakeholders to work collaboratively toward ensuring that energy delivers prosperity.

As a crucial actor in achieving the UAE’s Energy Strategy 2050, FEWA will showcase its vision and expertise on how to develop the electricity and water infrastructure while maintaining a sustainable environment that supports long-term economic growth and innovation. Its involvement in the Congress further establishes the link between water, electricity and sustainable forms of energy as key elements of the energy transition.
