Marwan Al Sawaleh, Under- secretary for Academic Affairs at the Ministry of Education, signed on Monday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with Thorsten Kunnemann, Director
of the Swiss Science Center, Technorama, to establish a centre for science in the UAE. Signed on the 4th day of the National Science, Technology and Innovation (NSTI) Festival, the MoU comes within the ministry’s efforts to develop students’ scientific and knowledge skills under its strategy to develop the learning process.
The MoU stipulates collabo- ration between Technorama and the Ministry of Education to utilise personnel, knowledge and expertise in establishing a sci-hub in the UAE and other STEM education initiatives.
Launched on February 15 by the Ministry of Education as part of the UAE Innovation Month, at Dubai Festival Arena, the NSTI features initiatives, activities and progra- mmes that will run till February 19. The 4th day of the Festival was filled with inspiring sessions, energetic activities, thrilling competitions and valuable edutainment.
