Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, received the outgoing
Azerbaijani Consul-General, Parvez Ismayilzada, along with Alnoor Aleef, Azerbaijan’s Commercial Representative.
Musabih thanked Zada for his dedicated service in Dubai. The meeting agenda included discussions on cooperation, trade growth opportunities and the exchange of customs experiences between Dubai and Azerbaijan.
Musabih highlighted that trade with Azerbaijan has seen considerable growth in the last few years, where in the first 9 months of 2017 trade rose to AED679 million, of which imports
were AED4.3 million, exports valued at AED133.4 mill-
ion, and re-exports totalling AED541.4 million.
“We work towards enhancing mutual trade by facilitating customs services for Azerbaijani traders and investors. Our advanced smart applications, products and services enable our clients to benefit from the different incentives and advantages Dubai offers,” he added.
Zada thanked Dubai Customs for the support they provide to facilitate mutual trade between the UAE and Azerbaijan and highlighted the importance of enhancing this “win-win relationship”.
