The move comes after six months of thorough testing and is part of Daman’s efforts to digitalise services and simplify customer transactions, making their experiences more efficient, secure and convenient, explained Yousif Al Khanjari, Chief Financial Officer at Daman.
“Here at Daman, we are constantly seeking to apply convenient and innovative practices, particularly with regards to digitalisation. Digitalisation has bought about significant benefits to businesses and customers; following the testing period, we are confident that this comprehensive e-Dirham roll out will provide our customers with smoother and speedier transactions,†said Al Khanjari.
Daman introduced e-Dirham in June this year, with a trial phase that allowed clients to pay insurance premiums and service charges using e-Dirham at its Abu Dhabi and Al Ain branches and service points. The system was expanded to all Daman branches and service points following its successes in increasing efficiency for payments and reducing customer waiting times.
Al Khanjari continued: “Payments on the e-Dirham platform are instantaneous, meaning that there is no need to allow time for cheques to clear or even count out change when paying in cash. The e-Dirham platform provides a streamlined payment system
