VP issues decree to form DNEC

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, issued Decree forming the Dubai Nuclear Energy Committee (DNEC).
Decree No (15) of 2016 amends Article (1) of Decree No (26) of 2009 on the Establishment of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. According to the new Decree, the Dubai Nuclear Energy Committee is a permanent committee attached to the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, and is composed of a Chairman, a Vice Chairman and a number of technical experts who will be appointed through a resolution from His Highness the Ruler. The Committee serves for a renewable term of three years.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed also issued Resolution No (2) of 2016 appointing members of the Dubai Nuclear Energy Committee. The Committee is headed by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Chairman; and Engineer Waleed Ali Salman, the Vice Chairman. Others appointed as members include Dr Riad Mohamed Belhoul; Dr Abdulkader Ibrahim Al Khayat; Dr Ali Mohammad Shaheen Ahmed; and Engineer Youssef Ahmed Abduldayem Nasrallah.
Both the Decree and Resolution are valid from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
