The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) distributed food aid to 140 poor and low-income families in the Yemeni island of Mayoun, as part of the effort to help provide basic necessities to the brotherly people of Yemen.
A plane arrived on Wednesday on the island, carrying food baskets for the families there, as part of the comprehensive humanitarian and developmental efforts made by the UAE across the liberated areas of Yemen.
Officials in Mayoun expressed their thanks to the UAE for the projects, including renovation of the water desalination plant, as well as the construction of a school and maintenance of the mosque and hospital.
