UAE condemns terror attacks in Egypt, Turkey

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) strongly condemned Sunday’s terrorist attack, which targeted the Saint Mark’s Coptic Cathedral in the Abbasiya district in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
The blast killed scores of innocent people.
HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, emphasised that the leadership, government and people of the UAE stand with Egypt in its fight against all forms of terrorism.
“The UAE expresses its vehement condemnation of these criminal acts and voices its principled and constant rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism, and confirms its support for the Egyptian leadership in whatever decisive steps and measures it may take to stem terrorism and preserve its security and stability,” said HH Sheikh Abdullah, in a statement today.
“These cowardly terrorist acts will never undermine the resolve of the Egyptian people and its persistence to continue its steadfast confrontation against terrorism, which neither knows country nor religion or ethics,” HH said, affirming that these terrorist acts contravene all humanitarian and religious values and principles,” HH added.
The UAE also condemned the two terrorist bombings that killed and wounded dozens of innocent people in Istanbul, Turkey.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation restated the principled position of the UAE rejecting all forms and manifestations of terrorism and calling for enhancing coordination between states and combining the efforts of the international community to ensure that this dangerous plight that pose threats to global peace and security is eliminated and that its sources of finance are shut down.

GCC condemns attack at Yemeni
Military Camp in Aden
GCC Secretary General Dr Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani strongly condemned a suicide bombing that took place in front of Al-Solban military camp in Aden, located in the south of Yemen, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of scores of Yemeni military personnel.
He described the suicide attack as a “terrorist attack” that runs counter to Islam, as well as human values and principles.
In a statement today, Dr Al-Zayani added, “The GCC states condemn the horrific attack, and supports the Yemeni Government’s investigation into the matter, and its continuous efforts to regain stability and security in Yemeni cities.”
