His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces on Wednesday received the visiting Leonid Eduardovich Slutskii member of the State Duma of Russia, at Al Shai’ Palace.
They reviewed cooperation between the UAE and Russia and the strong trade and economic partnerships in the best interests of the two sides.
They also discussed the two countries’ keenness on enhancing bonds in the light of the strong bilateral relations between the two countries thanks to the support of the two countries’ leaderships to achieve the joint interests of the two friendly peoples.
Meeting with special envoy of Sudanese
President
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed also received Lt. General Taha Othman Ahmed Al Hussain, Special Envoy of the
Sudanese President, Minister of State and Director of the
President’s Office.
Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the Sudanese official and the duo discussed the fraternal ties between the UAE and Sudan, and ways to enhance them. The meeting also focussed on issues of mutual interest.
Al Hussain conveyed the greetings of the Sudanese President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al Bashir to the UAE’s leadership, and his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the people of the UAE.
The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince also conveyed his greetings to President Al Bashir.
Others present at the meeting were Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
