Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed reviews Emirates Council for Rural Development achievements in 2024

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and Chairman of the Emirates Council for Rural Development, has reviewed the council’s 2024 achievements and initiatives, as well as plans for the development of villages and rural areas.
The meeting featured a comprehensive presentation of the events and activities organised by the council across various locations, which attracted 200,000 visitors and involved 225 local SMEs and 200 volunteers, reflecting significant community engagement and support for the council’s efforts.
Additionally, the Emirates Villages social media accounts, operated by the council, recorded one million views, underscoring the success of its media campaign in reaching the public and raising awareness on the importance of community-focused initiatives.
Council members also discussed plans for developing villages and rural areas in collaboration with several local government entities and private sector organisations. The council’s participation in the National Experts Programme was also highlighted, which aims to enhance the capabilities of national talent and leverage expertise to support the council’s mandate.
The meeting concluded with a review of the media plan to spotlight seasonal events, with the aim of enhancing community interaction with council activities and promoting initiatives that contribute to improving quality of life in villages and rural areas.
