THE WAIT IS OVER, 3FILS OFFICIALLY OPENS IN ABU DHABI

After much anticipation, 3Fils — Dubai’s beloved modern Asian restaurant and one of the most awarded homegrown concepts in the region, has officially opened its doors at The Abu Dhabi EDITION hotel, bringing its distinctive culinary identity to the capital in a setting unlike any other. Set against the tranquil marina backdrop of Al Bateen, the new three-story venue offers a fresh perspective on the 3Fils experience. With a rooftop terrace, sleek waterfront design, and understated luxury in every detail, this standalone location marks an elevated step forward for the brand without losing the unfiltered spirit that made it a sensation.
“There will be a few items that are different, but everything else stays the same” says Ahmed Abdul Hakim, Founder of 3Fils. “The core, the values, the obsession with turning complexity into something simple and delicious, that never changes. The design might feel different, reflecting the natural growth of the brand, but it’s still 3Fils. Nothing changed.”
With multiple Michelin recognitions and the title of Best Restaurant in the Middle East & North Africa (2022) by World’s 50 Best, 3Fils enters the Abu Dhabi scene not just as a new opening but as a defining culinary moment.
Under the direction of Head Chef Jovani, the food remains faithful to the restaurant’s DNA: bold, inventive, and crowd-pleasing. “Most of the menu stays true to what 3Fils is known for — bold flavors, thoughtful execution, and crowd favorites” head chef Jhovani shares. “But we’ve also introduced exclusive dishes just for Abu Dhabi, like the Grilled Black Lime Baby Chicken and the indulgent A5 Wagyu Claypot, which reflect the local palate while pushing creativity forward.” Guests can also expect showstopping desserts like the Coconut Raspberry, a multi-textured masterpiece of coconut sponge, mousse, ice cream, and lime zest – or the playful Vanilla Flan topped with nitro-snow and edible flowers. For those with a sweet tooth for drama, the Take Me To The Moon combines frozen milk chocolate aero with hazelnut crunch and salted caramel for a galactic finish.
The Specials section, a hallmark of the original Dubai branch, returns with a rotating lineup of new monthly creations exclusive to Abu Dhabi – ensuring there’s always something unexpected on the table. “The Abu Dhabi EDITION is proud to welcome 3Fils to the capital” the hotel said in a statement. “In partnership with Lab Holding, this collaboration is set to transform Al Bateen’s culinary landscape and elevate the dining experience for both residents and visitors alike.”
