Smartphones to drive sales at Gitex: Retailer

Following the launch of new smartphones from leading brands, Jumbo Electronics, the leading omnichannel retailer in the region, is forecasting that smartphones will drive sales at this year’s edition of Gitex Shopper, scheduled to be held till October 6 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
During the five-day event, the new iPhone XS/XS Max, Samsung Note 9, Oppo Find X among other smartphones will be available at the Jumbo stand, in addition to the latest gaming laptops, and thin and light laptops and tablets. Under its yearly slogan, ‘Jumbo is Gitex”, the company will also offer great bundle offers on gaming products along with digital cameras and ultra-large televisions using OLED and QLED technologies.
“For us at Jumbo, smartphones have always been the most saleable products at GITEX Shopper and with new devices launched in time for Gitex Shopper, we are expecting that smartphones will remain the number one segment at the event. Laptops continue to be popular in the market, particularly gaming laptops, which have a niche
market in the region. Over the years, we have seen a strong demand for high-end gaming
laptops from customers, driven by the rise of online gamers in the region,” said Atul Joshi, Spokesperson of Jumbo Group.
Furthermore, the company is featuring an exclusive experience zones for Sony, Dyson, and Samsung. Sony area will showcase large sized TVs, OLED TVs, top-of-the-range DSLR and mirrorless cameras, personal audio products like headsets, speakers and the accessories ecosystem at its experience zones.
Jumbo will also create Dyson Experience Zone that will allow visitors to see and try out the full product range of Dyson. Among the products that will be on display are the Dyson V8 cordless vacuum cleaner, Dyson Supersonic and Dyson Air Purifiers. There will also be hair dressers at the stand to showcase the innovative features of Dyson Supersonic.
Additionally, Samsung’s mobility area will include an experience zone for the Galaxy Note 9 phones, including the new range of Samsung tablets, watches and smart accessories.
Aside from the bundle offers, Gitex Shopper visitors can enjoy the benefits of JumboSalama, an extended warranty that covers any product defects and physical damage for up to two years. Jumbo UnwiredCrew, a team of qualified, experienced and trained tech experts, will also be at Gitex Shopper to assist visitors and provide smart solutions as well as gadget-related set up issues.
