Smart Dubai to bring together 55 govt and private partners at GITEX

Smart Dubai will bring together 55 partners from the government and private sector for the first collaborative exhibition to showcase a true smart city experience for Dubai.
The exhibition will take place in a 3,800-square-metre pavilion during the 36th edition of Gitex Technology Week 2016 from October 16-20.
An initiative, Smart Dubai is anchored in the vision of Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to develop Dubai into the happiest city on earth. The initiative is supported by a tiered partnership framework, enabling government, the private-sector and institutional partnerships to encourage engagement and collaboration in achieving the vision of His Highness.
Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr, Director General of Smart Dubai Office, noted, “Smart Dubai’s pavilion at Gitex is a unique showcase of all the smart services and initiatives that are contributing to delightful experiences across our city today. By bringing together our partners from the public and private sector, we are demonstrating what a true smart city experience is for Dubai.
This is the city experience that becomes a reality when we work together.”
Dr. Aisha emphasised that Smart Dubai is sparing no efforts to implement a transformative agenda and a citywide roadmap targeting all city sectors, with the aim of making Dubai a global benchmark for smart cities. The office is working with its partners to deliver superior city experiences in all domains, to fulfill the vision of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to make Dubai the world’s smartest city with the happiest residents, tourists and businesses.
She added, “Over the five days of
the exhibition, the pavilion will
showcase citywide smart experiences and will witness the signing of a number of bilateral agreements to bolster partnerships and collaboration among entities, and enhance interconnection and integration, thereby providing more comfort and happiness for all Dubai residents and visitors.”
