The supreme culinary talents of Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) chefs have been recognised with a plethora of awards at the 5th East Coast Culinary Competition, which took place at Miramar, Al Aqah Beach Resort, Fujairah, recently. A total of eight SLC chefs were honoured at the gourmet-themed event, which was endorsed by World Association of Chef Societies and saw the participation of 400 chefs from hotels across UAE.
Included in tally of awards for the SLC chefs were two top titles; ‘Best in Arabic Cuisine’ and ‘Best in Arabic Pastry,’ with the haul also seeing two Golds, six Silvers and a Bronzes.
“The high standard of its offerings have been proven with the top awards given to these eight chefs from SLC at the 5th East Coast Culinary Competition, all of whom have participated in SLC’s various cookery programmes. We are delighted that they have flown the flag for SLC at the event and that the skills they have been taught have been seen to be winning ones.
