Real-time data captured from the field and conveyed to the cloud via sensors and analytical engines can impact the profitability of entire oil and gas (O&G) businesses. Building around this concept, Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, marks its seventh outing at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and
Conference (ADIPEC) 2017.
This year, Schneider Electric showcases its latest suite of EcoStruxure for Oil and Gas solutions, including artificial lift and ethylene production solutions and integrated operation management solutions as well as its asset performance management portfolio.
Visitors experienced the company’s E-House and training solutions first-hand as part of an augmented reality virtual tour. These include the Gutor PXC uninterruptible power supply for harsh industrial environments, Avantis comprehensive enterprise asset management software, and the latest avant-garde integrated power and process management technology that covers the life cycle of the plant system and results in up to 15 per cent Opex savings.
Speaking on the platform’s innovative capabilities, Chris Dartnell, President of the Oil & Gas Business at Schneider Electric, said: ‘EcoStruxure’ for Oil and Gas facilitates a full range of services across the O&G supply chain – from oil fields to refineries, and from field devices and data collection to maintenance and plant operations. Based on vast amounts of real-time data captured from the field and conveyed to the cloud via sensors and analytical engines, the platform can shape the best business decisions that can ultimately impact the profitability of entire O&G businesses.â€
