Armarium, the app which launched in beta back in April 2016, has now gone live for all users, it has been reported by WWD. The app enables users to rent luxury fashion items, with collections limited to pieces from the current and previous seasons. This sets Armarium apart from other startups offering fashion-to-rent, as their garments and accessories are exclusively high-end: renting from $300 to $500, and retailing for $3,000 to $5,000.
For an additional fee, Armarium users can also hire from a selection of 21 celebrity and fashion stylists, including Shiona Turini, Karla Martinez de Salas and Natalie Joos. The company is headed by long-time fashion expert Alexandra Lind Rose and Trisha Gregory, former head of Public Relations at Salvatore Ferragamo North America.
The Armarium app can be downloaded from the App Store and also via the company’s website: www.armarium.com. Dubbed the Style Brigade, some of the talent on Armarium’s retainer includes: Meredith Melling, Valerie Boster, Siobhan Bonnouvrier, Karla Martinez de Salas and Shiona Turini. Because Armarium doesn’t just send you clothes—it provides the look, too, if you want it.
The Armi 400—Armarium’s global network of tastemakers, pacesetters and youthquakers—acts as a constant source of inspiration for the team. Riffing on Brooke Astor’s famous 400, the group of ambassadorial men and women are the front line of taste, sociability and influence—a perfect squad, if any, from which to draw style tips.
Armarium was founded by Alexandra Lind Rose, a fashion designer and style entrepreneur who has worked in the industry for over twenty years, and Trisha Gregory, who oversaw public relations at Salvatore Ferragamo (North America) for nearly a decade. Both, more than any, know the power of a good outfit.
Comprised of an elite team of fashion insiders, Armarium was officially launched in April 2016 through an invite-only mobile app, e-commerce platform and a New York City showroom. The program includes not only the ability to borrow pieces from our expertly curated lineup of couture, ready-to-wear, and accessories, but also, the option of hiring one of a number of professional
stylists to assist with your day-of dressing needs.
