Focusing on knowledge content, Arabic language and national identity, the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development has highlighted a number of initiatives during UAE Innovation Week.
These initiatives were presented across three major pavilions in Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah. They include a smart library initiative providing cultural services to employees working in all government institutions and a virtual exhibition with more than five thousand paintings related to Islamic art available on the ministry’s website.
The website also gives statistics about the UAE’s cultural heritage according to the classification of the UNESCO and the voice commands initiative in the classical Arabic language, being the first federal ministry to implement this application.
Activities also include a number of workshops related to the culture of innovation and future forecast for UAE employees, customers, school and university students as well as seminars and competitions.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, said that the participation of the ministry in UAE Innovation Week stems from a national motive as part of the objectives of the UAE Vision 2021, which seeks to promote and disseminate the culture of innovation to become a way of life in the UAE.
