Infrastructure projects worth AED1.2bn okayed

The follow-up committee of the initiatives of the UAE President approved the funding of a number of infrastructure and urban development projects across various emirates at a total cost of AED1.2 billion.
The effort comes in implementation of the directives of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the close monitoring by General Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ahmed Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs.
The Committee approved funding for the Sheikh Khalifa Central Hospital in the Emirate of Fujairah with a total value of AED 865.9 million for the project. With a capacity of up to 300 beds, the hospital will provide 24-hour services to patients. It consists of 11 specialised departments, outpatient clinics and a 32-bed
emergency ward.
The hospital will also have a
3-storey rehabilitation centre housed in a separate building and 673 parking spots.
During the meeting, the committee also adopted a number of infrastructure and road projects, which include the awarding of
a new road project linking
the Sheikh Khalifa road from
Maliha passing though Madam up to Al Shuwaib, valued at AED323 million.
The initiative also includes funding for a number of internal roads and parking works in the residential complexes of Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah for a tune of AED12.4 million.
In a statement, Ahmed Juma Al Za’abi emphasised the wise leadership’s keenness to continue launching quality projects aimed at enhancing the welfare of citizens and developing infrastructure in all areas of the country. He also highlighted the support provided by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Presidential Affairs,
and His Highness’s instructions to
ensure the implementation of projects in accordance with
the highest of international
standards.
