For MY2017, the model features additional enhancements that are aimed at empowering the driver with a more premium experience – a model that redefines vehicle safety with cutting edge technologies. Making its UAE debut, the 2017 seven-passenger SUV features a state-of-the-art suite of safety features that offers customers a unique combination of comfort, control and security.
The QX60 features advanced technologies from the front to the rear of the vehicle that help drivers to safely navigate the busy motorways and prevent collisions from all angles. Predictive Forward Collision Warning – a highly attuned system that continuously monitors not only the vehicle directly ahead but the one ahead of that as well – provides alerts and tightens the driver’s seat belt if potential risks are detected. The QX60 also has your back, with a Backup Collision Intervention system that warns drivers when reversing of vehicles approaching the rear of the car, and helps to avoid accidents by applying the brakes. Those safety features serve to heighten driver awareness and speed reaction times during peak traffic hours, allowing for a confident drive at any time of day. For ultimate road safety and peace of mind when travelling with children, family and loved ones, the car is also equipped with the brake assistance which helps prevent collisions via its Advanced Warning Forward Emergency Brake system and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. This adds a further dimension of security by identifying pedestrians that enter the vehicle’s path – a huge advantage for drivers in populated city centres.
The QX60’s intelligent technologies serve to give drivers a new and improved perspective on their surroundings. The Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection and Front and Rear Sonar System alerts drivers of both moving and stationary objects detected close by, and makes an easy job of manoeuvring and parking in tight spaces thanks to four cameras and a virtual 360° view that provide panoramic vision. The QX60’s leading technology also takes care of the notorious blind spot with its Blind Spot Warning and Blind Spot Intervention® Systems.
