HCT, BSUIR sign pact to enhance coop

The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance co-operation in information technology, and electrical and electronic engineering, and conduct joint scientific research.
The three-year agreement provides for the exchange of scientific information, mutual visits of scientists and researchers, organising of joint seminars, workshops and training programmes to promote research in areas of mutual interest, as well as training of the academic staff at the level of master’s and PhD programmes besides making provisions for appropriate scholarships, Vice- Chancellor of the HCT, Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi, who signed the agreement with Rector of the BSUIR, Professor Mikhail P. Batura, said.
Professor Batura said the MoU would open up new avenues to conclude more such agreements and provide advanced training programmes and student exchanges.
