The ChambreSyndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris has named the five fashion houses invited to display their work as guests at the Autumn / Winter fashion week in July 2016.
Luxury fur retailer J. Mendel, Japanese neo-futurist Yuima Nakazato, Italian designer Francesco Scognamiglio, returning three-time Dutch Design Awards winner Iris Van Herpen, and DemnaGvasalia’sVetements collective have been invited to join the Haute Couture association as guests. Aouadi, Guo Pei, Ilja, JulienFournié, Ralph&Russo, Schiaparelli, UlyanaSergeenko and ZuhairMurad maintain their guest membership status.
Each will have the opportunity to show their collections at the Autumn / Winter 2016-17 Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris, which takes place July 3 – 7, 2016.
Two days later on July 9, Pierre Cardin will display his own collection in Lacoste, south east France, at the Marquis de Sade’s château, which he owns
