HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has directed the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), to draft a plan to increase percentage of Emirati students admission in private schools, which are rated good and above 100 percent, over the next three years.
His remarks came as he visited the KHDA accompanied by HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said that the UAE leadership is keen on developing a robust educational system to prepare a generation able to compete as knowledge is power. He also stressed the importance of improving the quality of education, and establish curriculums that ensure the inclusion of all students regardless of their abilities. The Dubai Crown Prince underscored the role of parents in following up the progress of their kids’ education and instil a culture of distinction.
Sheikh Hamdan also reviewed the ‘Comprehensive Survey of Student Quality of Life in Dubai 2017’, which will provide data to government and schools to help improve students’ quality of life.
