In a circular distributed to employers, the General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA), called for employers’ compliance with the registration and contribution requirements for their Emirati employees. It stressed that registering UAE employees with the Authority and the payment of their contributions is obligatory under the provisions of Federal Law No. 7 of 1999 concerning Pensions and Social Security, as amended.
The authority indicated that it had reports revealing non-compliance by certain employers with the registration and contribution requirements for their UAE employees with the Authority, which may cause harm to them and their families.
