His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, on Monday launched the “Future Build Exhibition.”
The exhibition, which was organised by the chamber, is witnessing the participation of 52 major local and international companies in the building, construction and transportation sectors, who are showcasing their latest tools and products for building sustainable cities.
The three-day exhibition, which is being held in Pavilion Marina 1 in Al Zorah, aims to promote the building and construction material sector, provide relevant opportunities for the private sector, and enable international companies, producers and traders to enter local markets and benefit from available opportunities.
Sheikh Ammar stated that hosting such specialist international exhibitions will support the local economy and the building, real estate development, construction and transportation sectors, through attracting leading local and international companies, supporting partnerships, and exchanging relevant expertise while pointing out that the exhibition is important to Ajman, in light of the contribution of the construction and building sector.
He also urged property owners and developers to gain knowledge about the latest developments in the building, construction and transportation sectors, along with the necessary skills, as well as to benefit from the latest international developments, employ them in enhancing the building process, and look forward to a brighter and more prosperous future.
Statistics highlight a growth in the number of companies in Ajman operating in the sectors of real estate development, contracting, building, engineering consultation, and manufacturing and trading in building materials, as well as real estate offices, in 2018, to approximately 3,802, compared to 2,839 in 2013, an increase of 34 percent. The number of general maintenance companies that specialise in building and construction in Ajman reached, in 2018, 5,089,
compared to 2,970 in 2013, a growth of 71 percent.
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Representative of the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Tourism Development Department; Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department; Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development; Hamad Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Diwan; Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and chairmen and directors of government departments, institutions and authorities, as well as property owners, developers and several senior officials.
