FNC, Pakistan’s National Assembly hold talks on parliamentary ties

Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), and Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, discussed ways to enhance bilateral and parliamentary cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan across various fields.
The talks, which took place on the sidelines of the first meeting of the Parliamentary Group in Solidarity with Palestine, held in Istanbul, Turkiye, come in light of the historic friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations, supported by the leaderships and governments of both countries.
The two sides explored means to bolster parliamentary relations between the FNC and Pakistan’s National Assembly.
They underscored the importance of activating the role of parliamentary friendship committees to exchange expertise and best practices, cooperate in various parliamentary forums, coordinate on issues of mutual interest, unify positions and visions on agenda items during participations in regional and international events.
Both parties emphasised the importance of enhancing parliamentary diplomacy to serve national interests and support efforts to achieve common objectives.
