VP established culture of excellence in govt sector: Ghobash

Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has established a culture of institutional excellence in government organisations and also a philosophy based on competition and strategic planning to meet customer expectations that reflect positively upon the UAE as a global model of excellence, Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, has said.
He was speaking at a meeting with the Ministry’s team that had won Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award in the category of Best Entity in the Field of Smart Government and the Prime Minister’s Medal for Best Field Employee.
The excellence award is given to the entity with the best result in the main field – Smart Government.
The minister hailed the award as a key driver of excellence in the government sector as it motivates public servants to offer services with the highest possible level of quality.
All members of the staff collectively helped the Ministry to achieve excellence, Ghobash added.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award was launched in 2009 as part of the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Programme – the first holistic government excellence programme at the federal level that seeks to position the UAE Government as one of the best in the world.
The award seeks to promote the role of the federal government institutions serving the UAE society at all levels and seeking to build and motivate principles of excellence.
