On the occasion of the Emirati Women’s Day, Masdar’s Executive Director of Sustainability and Brand, Dr Nawal
Al Hosany has praised the role of the UAE’s esteemed leadership in placing an emphasis on the empowerment of women, inspired by the legacy of the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
“Since the establishment of the union, Sheikh Zayed has always believed in the pivotal role of women in driving the sustainable growth and development of the UAE. As a result, the UAE is one of the first countries in the region to have created opportunities for women to take on senior positions
in the political, economic, and social sectors,†she said.
“Currently, women make
up 33 percent of our employees, of which 61 percent are Emirati,†Al Hosany said.
