The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -1.04% to close at 4450.90 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost AED 7.62 billion attaining AED 724.19 billion. A total of 0.57 Billion Shares were traded with a total value of AED 0.6 billion during the trading session of 10-05-2016 through 6543 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 64 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 28 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 26 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
RAK Properties came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 55.52 million distributed over 94.95 Million Shares through 417 transactions. Emaar Properties came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 45.29 million distributed over 7.31 Million Shares through 294 transactions.
AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 0.86 with 14.67% increase during the trading of 250 Shares with a trade value of AED 215. Whereas International Fish Farming Company shares Increased by 14.29% to close at AED 1.52 during the trading of 240.89 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 365.15 thousand. National Investor – PVT has achieved the lowest decline by -9.86% to close at AED 0.64 during the trading of 1.73 Million Shares with a trade value of AED 1.11 million. Followed by National Marine Dredging Co which dropped by -9.85% to close at AED 5.58 during the trading of 4000 Shares with a trade value of AED 22.32 thousand. Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 3.997%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 78.9 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 58 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 48 companies.
As of 10-06-2016, the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 17.4968% to settle at 3764.97compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 12.8% to settle at 80.3614 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 7.63% to settle at 5210.27 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 6.98% to settle at 1486.24 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 3.14% to settle at 1979.03 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 2.14% to settle at 3644.20 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 1.68% to settle at 3388.82 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -3.8% to settle at 2771.12 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -4.2% to settle at 930.637 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -4.3% to settle at 1218.12 points.
