DoH, US Institute for Health Improvement sign pact

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) and the Institute for Health Improvement (IHI), a global not-for-profit organisation based in Boston, USA, launched a strategic cooperative agreement to advance and execute programmes for continuous improvement of the quality of healthcare.
The cooperation seeks to set a solid framework and establish regulatory foundations to achieve unified quality healthcare outcomes in Abu Dhabi and globally.
The cooperation between both parties was reflected through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by Dr Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Undersecretary of DoH, and Dr Kedar Mate, President and CEO of IHI. The MoU signing was witnessed by Hind Al Zaabi, Executive Director of Healthcare Facilities at DoH, and Nana Twum-Danso, MD, MPH, FACPM, Senior Vice President at IHI.
