DIC to highlight its ecosystem at GITEX

Dubai Internet City (DIC), the largest technology business hub in the region, has announced its participation in the GITEX Technology Week 2017, marking its 18th outing at the definitive technology event. The theme of DIC’s exhibition, The Smarter Journey, will leverage the power of its partners’ innovations, offering visitors an opportunity to experience smart, cutting-edge solutions that are set to shape the cities of the future and translate the Smart Dubai initiative into reality.
Bringing several innovations from its vibrant community together under one roof, DIC’s pavilion will take visitors on an immersive and experiential journey powered by partners Uber, Canon, Samsung and Visa.
Speaking on DIC’s role of building an enabling ecosystem, Ammar Al Malik, Executive Director of DIC, said: “At Dubai Internet City, we take pride in our unique community, which encourages growth across all technology sectors. GITEX Technology Week is one of the most influential technology exhibitions worldwide, attracting a diverse audience of IT professionals, technology enthusiasts, students, consumers and traders. The 2017 edition of the event will run from October 8 to 12 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
